How to choose rubber flooring thickness for your gym
Compare 10mm, 15mm and 25mm rubber mat options for a Malaysian gym. Plan equipment zones, the supporting floor and installation details before ordering.

Gym flooring
A modular starting point for gym floors, training studios and exercise areas. Broad interlocking edges connect neighbouring tiles, while individual sections can be replaced when required.
Consider interlock mats for exercise studios, equipment areas and general gym circulation. The appropriate thickness depends on the activity, equipment contact points and existing floor. A room used for stretching is a different brief from a free-weight area with repeated dropped loads.
For heavier impact zones, compare the heavy-duty rubber mat range before specifying one thickness across the entire gym.
Send the room dimensions and note columns, door openings and fixed equipment. The nominal tile size is 500 x 500mm; confirm the installed coverage and edge arrangement when calculating quantities. Perimeter cuts, transitions and spare replacement tiles should be considered separately.
The base should be assessed for flatness, moisture, loose finishes and movement. Interlocking edges do not correct an uneven substrate. Confirm whether restraint or adhesive is required for your particular layout and use.
Both thicknesses are available in this range. Neither should be selected using equipment weight alone: dropped loads, floor construction and noise transmission to neighbouring rooms also matter. No sound reduction rating or dropped-weight performance is implied by thickness alone.
Share your equipment list and whether the premises are on an upper floor so the quotation can address the actual conditions.
